Mesothelioma Cancer

Mesothelioma is an aggressive cancer that affects the lining of the lungs and abdomen.

Malignant mesothelioma is the most serious of all asbestos-related diseases. The factor of the case and the risk of mesothelioma is asbestos.

A diagnosis of mesothelioma is really difficult especially for doctors because the disease often presents with symptoms that mimic other common diseases. There are currently improving the prognosis of typical mesothelioma is no known cure for mesothelioma, but treatments such as surgery and chemotherapy.

Pleural mesothelioma (affecting the protective lining of the lungs in the chest cavity) represents about three quarters of all mesothelioma incidence. Peritoneal mesothelioma affects the abdominal cavity and pericardial mesothelioma, which affects the heart chamber from the rest.
There are three types of mesothelioma cells detected. Between 50% and 70% of all mesothelioma epithelial variety. Although the prognosis is generally low, it is considered less aggressive than sarcomatoid mesothelioma and biphasic mesothelioma, which comprise the remaining diagnoses cell type.

The cavities in the body, including the chest, abdomen, heart, and surrounded by a membrane of cells known as the mesothelium. Mesothelial help in general organ functions. The mesothelium is particularly important for bodies, which are normally in the movement such as expansion or contraction of the lungs, heart or stomach. Lubrication of mesothelial cells allows free choice of movement in the body. The mesothelium of the chest, abdomen and heart chamber than the pleura, peritoneum and pericardium. Each of these groups of mesothelial cells is extremely critical to the functioning of the structure of the body.

Malignant (cancerous tumors) occur in the mesothelial membranes are known as malignant mesothelioma, or simply mesothelioma. Benign tumors of the mesothelium are known to occur, but are much less common than malignant mesothelial tumors.

While tumors of the mesothelium were first recognized in the 18th century, it was not until the mid 20th century and was further examined this type of cancer, in particular investigated. It was at this time when the suspicion of cancer causation in asbestos exposure became more substantiated. A common research the company by the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Hospital General Universitario Witswater and Johannesburg in South Africa, provided the most convincing link between asbestos exposure and the development of evidence for pleural mesothelioma.

The incidence of mesothelioma is still relatively rare, with only 2500-3000 diagnoses in the United States each year. There was an increase in reported diagnoses from 1970 to 1984, on the latency period between diagnosis and the level of radiation exposure, which was attributed occurred about 40-60 years before that date. Although exposure was in almost every industry, which was particularly often the case in the time of the second cycle of the military-industrial World War, including the shipyards of the Navy.

This type of cancer is, although much more common in men older than 60 years (especially on industrial exposures in sectors dominated by men), mesothelioma has been well documented in women and children. The causes mesothelioma diagnosis in women and children are especially at secondary asbestos, as it was not uncommon for men wearing asbestos back into the home of their body or clothing if proper cleaning facilities were not on the website.

Mesothelioma is diagnosed through a comprehensive combination of biopsy and the scanned image.

Mesothelioma is difficult to diagnose because the symptoms are similar to other respiratory malignancy, and because the disease can be very difficult to distinguish from lung adenocarcinoma. For this reason, a misdiagnosis is not uncommon in patients with mesothelioma. Symptoms of mesothelioma include chest pain, chronic cough, effusions in the chest and abdomen, and the presence of blood in the lung fluid.

Diagnostic operations, including biopsy, typically required to determine the type of the malignant cells present in the body. Typically, an imaging scan of the body, including a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computer tomography (CT) and / or Positron Emission Tomography (PET), are required to determine the extent and location of the disease.

Although mesothelioma is generally advanced at diagnosis, treatment options available.

Mesothelioma, while certainly an aggressive disease, is a manageable malignancy. Although there may be no cure for mesothelioma cancer treatment options include potentially surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. A combination of Alimta ® and Cisplatin is currently the only chemotherapy approved by the FDA, although several clinical trials are underway with drugs, including gemcitabine and onconase, which can lead to new treatments that offer a benefit to patients.

Radiation therapy is also used, but usually in conjunction with other methods such as the surgical treatment and chemotherapy. Surgical resection of mesothelioma is possible in patients diagnosed in an early stage. Diagnostic procedures such as thoracentesis and palliative and pleurodesis are also common in patients with malignant mesothelioma to symptoms that performed associated with cancer to minimize.

Alternative therapies have also been used effectively for many mesothelioma patients to manage the symptoms of the disease and conventional treatments.

Mesothelioma is caused by asbestos.

Mesothelioma is primarily caused by asbestos, although cases in children or other persons without a documented history of asbestos. Asbestos is a natural mineral microscopic and corresponding to the lung pleura and peritoneum of the abdominal cavity. In most cases, several years (60) will be before mesothelioma develops in those who were exposed to asbestos.

  3. I'm 55-year-old from Korean, I was diagnosed with second-stage liver cancer following a scheduled examination to monitor liver cirrhosis. I had lost a lot of weight. A CT scan revealed three tumors; one in the center of my liver in damaged tissue and two in healthy portions of my liver. No chemotherapy or radiotherapy treatment was prescribed due to my age, the number of liver tumors. One month following my diagnosis I began taking 12 (350 point) Salvestrol supplements per day, commensurate with my body weight. This comprised six Salvestrol Shield (350 point) capsules and six Salvestrol Gold (350 point) capsules, spread through the day by taking two of each capsule after each main meal. This level of Salvestrol supplementation (4,000 points per day) was maintained for four months. In addition, I began a program of breathing exercises, chi exercises, meditation, stretching and stress avoidance. Due to the variety of conditions that I suffered from, I received ongoing medical examinations. Eleven months after commencing Salvestrol supplementation But all invalid so I keep searching for a herbal cure online that how I came across a testimony appreciating Dr Itua on how he cured her HIV/Herpes, I contacted him through email he listed above, Dr Itua sent me his herbal medicine for cancer to drink for two weeks to cure I paid him for the delivering then I received my herbal medicine and drank it for two weeks and I was cured until now I'm all clear of cancer, I will advise you to contact Dr Itua Herbal Center On Email...drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com.
